Comparison: De’Longhi AC 100 vs AC 150 vs AC 230 – What are the Differences?
Coverage Area
De’Longhi recommends the AC 100 and the AC 150 for a room size of up to 40 m² (430 ft²). The AC 230, on the other hand, is suitable for larger rooms with a surface area of up to 80 m² (861 ft²).
To ensure that purified air is available throughout the room, the AC 100, AC 150, and AC 230 take in dirty air through the front panel on two sides and then return it in an upward flow through the top grille, thereby improving air circulation.

Clean Air Delivery Rate
In all three devices, a washable pre-filter removes large impurities such as pet dander and dust. Up to 99.97% of particles and allergens as small as 0.003 µm are then captured by a HEPA filter, while a layer of activated carbon takes care of unpleasant odors and smoke.
In addition, the AC 150 and the AC 230 are equipped with a nano-silver filter against most yeast pathogens and molds, as well as a photocatalytic filter with a UVC lamp against bacteria and gases.
The AC 230 does all this purifying at a rate of 255 m³/h, significantly faster than its two competitors that come with a Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) of 130 m³/h and 160 m³/h, respectively.

160 m³/h (Particles)

Working Noise
With a maximum noise level of 44 decibels (dB), the AC 100 is the quietest of the three. That said, at around 48 dB and 50 dB, the AC 150 and the AC 230 are not exactly loud either.
On the lowest of the three available speed settings, the air purifiers are barely noticeable at 33 dB. They can also be set to automatic mode, in which they will only run as fast and therefore as loud as needed to keep pollution levels in your room at a minimal level.

Sensors & Display
The AC 100, AC 150, and AC 230 are all equipped with De’Longhi’s Air Quality System (AQS). Thanks to intelligent sensors inside the machines, they are able to track the air quality in real-time and use this information as input for the automatic mode (see above).
Since there is no display, you can only get a rough idea of the pollution levels inside of the room by looking at the LED indicators on the sides of the front panel. While orange stands for bad air quality, green is satisfactory, and blue is good.

Connectivity & Compatibility
Unfortunately, none of the three models has Wi-Fi capabilities – meaning there is no way to monitor and control them remotely via your smartphone or even smart home assistant. Instead, you will have to make all changes to the settings on the device itself.

Weight & Dimensions
In the final round of this De’Longi AC 100 vs AC 150 vs AC 230 comparison, we will have a quick look at the weight and dimensions of the three air purifiers. Unsurprisingly, being the most powerful device, the AC 230 is also the heaviest and largest.
Winner: AC 100
5.5 kg, 450 x 390 x 210 mm
5.7 kg, 450 x 390 x 210 mm
7.0 kg, 450 x 500 x 230 mm
Conclusion: De’Longhi AC 100 vs AC 150 vs AC 230 – Which is the Best Air Purifier?
With an identical coverage area and almost similar CADR, the main difference between the De’Longhi Air Purifier AC 150 and its predecessor are the two additional filters against yeast, mold, and bacteria.
If your home does not suffer from high humidity, however, you might as well go for the cheaper De’Longhi Air Purifier AC 100. Lastly, if you have a big room to purify and/or live in an area with high pollution levels, the De’Longhi Air Purifier AC 230 is obviously the best choice.
