Comparison: Levoit Core 300S vs 600S – What are the Differences?
Coverage Area & Efficiency
With an effective range of up to 20 m² (219 ft²), the Core 300S works best in bedrooms, home offices, and other relatively small rooms. The Core 600S, on the other hand, comes with an impressive coverage area of up to 59 m² (635 ft²).
For both models, the recommendations are based on an assumed five air changes per hour (ACH) in a room with a ceiling height of 2.4 m (8 ft). While they could be used in even larger rooms, the time it takes to purify the whole room would increase accordingly.
Winner: Core 600S
Up to 20 m² (219 ft²)
Up to 59 m² (635 ft²)
Clean Air Delivery Rate
Levoit’s 3-stage filtration system uses a pre-filter for large pollutants including dust, hair, and pet fur. Next, an H13 True HEPA filter captures at least 99.97% of particles and allergens as small as 0.3 µm, for example, pollen and pet dander.
In the final step, smoke, fumes, VOCs, and household odors such as cooking smells and pet odors are neutralized by a layer of activated carbon. The Core 300S does all this at a rate of 240 m³/h (141 CFM), while the 600S comes with a CADR of 697 m³/h (410 CFM).

240 m³/h (Particles)
697 m³/h (Particles)
Working Noise
Running at full speed, the more powerful Core 600S operates at a noise level of 55 decibels (dB), which is unsurprisingly a bit higher than the 50 dB of its competitor. When set to sleep mode, the 300S also has a slight edge at 24 dB compared to 26 dB.
Both devices come with an automatic mode, in which they will only run as fast and therefore as loud as needed. Once pollution levels inside the room return back to normal after a sudden spike, the fan speed and noise level of the 300S and 600S will decrease accordingly.
Winner: Core 300S
24 – 50 dB(A)
26 – 55 dB(A)
Sensors & Display
The Core 300S and 600S are equipped with Levoit’s AirSight Plus technology, which enables them to scan the surrounding air using lasers and provide air quality updates in real-time. The same information is also used as input for the automatic mode (see above).
Indicator rings on the display of the two air purifiers give you a rough idea of the current air quality, with blue signifying very good and red being unhealthy. You can also use the VeSync app to view the exact level of PM 2.5 particles (see below).

Connectivity & Compatibility
You can use a Wi-Fi connection, your smartphone, and the VeSync app to monitor and control the Core 300S and 600S remotely. This allows you to turn the purifier on and off, create a schedule, view the remaining filter life, and more.
In addition, all models of the Core S series, which includes the 300S and 600S, support voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant and can thus be integrated with your smart home.

Weight & Dimensions
In the final round of this Levoit Core 300S vs 600S comparison, we will have a quick look at the weight and dimensions of the two devices. At 6.2 kg (13.7 lb), the 600S weighs more than double the 300S, and also takes up more space than its smaller competitor.
Winner: Core 300S
2.7 kg, 220 x 220 x 360 mm
6.2 kg, 313 x 313 x 600 mm
Conclusion: Levoit Core 300S vs 600S – Which is the Better Air Purifier?
Unsurprisingly, the Levoit Air Purifier Core 600S came out on top in this comparison. It has a coverage area and Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) almost three times that of its smaller competitor. In fact, the 600S features the highest CADR of all Levoit air purifiers.
If you have a rather small room to purify, however, the Levoit Air Purifier Core 300S might still be a great choice. It operates at a slightly lower noise level on both ends, is significantly more portable, and comes with the same connectivity capabilities as the high-end model.
